After what I am sure was an agonizing wait for so many, Michael and I are back with another Pauper Podcast. Honestly, we were just happy to find a time to get this thing recorded, so the content itself is quite varied. We discuss MPDC 4.09, our Magic life outside of PDC, and a bit of Peasant Magic. I hope you enjoy – I’m sure you’ll learn something you didn’t know before!

I am back with another podcast! To make up for last week’s subpar sound quality, I’ve got a good one for you today. Michael (jamuraa) joins me to talk about SPDC, the evolution of the format, and his favorite decks. This one is great, folks – I am two for two in interviews! As usual, if you have any questions or comments, drop us a line (shoot us an e-mail) at podcast (at) pdcmagic.com. Enjoy this ‘cast, and I’ll be back next week!

Interview With An Alex
Friday, November 21st, 2008
We have an awesome podcast for you today! Michael and I were lucky enough to find the time to sit down with Alex (SpikeBoyM) and have a serious talk about Classic. This one was a blast for me to do; I enjoyed the strategy talk, the walks down memory lane, and just getting a refreshing take on the format. I really hope you have as much fun listening to it as I did making it!

Shards of Alara Pauper Podcast
Monday, October 27th, 2008
On a whim, I decided to recruit two other Paupers to participate with me in a trial podcast. Our “trial” ended up running long, and what we were left with was this epic cast that we’d like to share with you. We spent most of the time discussing the new cards from Shards of Alara and what they mean to Standard, but we also touched on several other topics that will interest a Pauper audience. So, if you can bear with a subpar recording and Jack’s loud microphone, download this podcast! Then, if you like what you hear and have some feedback or questions for us, shoot us an e-mail at podcast@pdcmagic.com. We look forward to hearing from you!

Magic Menagerie – Lorwyn Block Decklists!
Thursday, April 24th, 2008
Back when the PDC community was preparing for Lorwyn Block the first time around (which was before the format for BPDC was switched to Ravnica Block, which in turn was before the format was switched back to Lorwyn Block), some of my testing partners encouraged someone from our group to make a “gauntlet.” I decided to take up the challenge and proceeded to create more than a couple affectionately-named lists. When I heard that there would be a new season of BPDC, and the format was to be Lorwyn Block, I revisited the decklists I had saved in Magic Workstation and found them to be surprisingly decent, though nowhere near finely tuned. Regardless, I have decided to share a few of them in anticipation of the upcoming BPDC event with the hope that they will inspire more of you to show up with a unique creation of your own (or, if you like a list you see below, with a unique creation of my own).
Magic Menagerie – Mono-Color in Future Extended
Tuesday, November 27th, 2007
Magic Menagerie makes another of its sporadic appearances in honor of PDCMagic.com’s debut. This time my focus shifts back to Future Extended, where we have recently seen multiple successes by mono-color decks. What advantages and disadvantages do these decks have over more common multi-color decks? How are these advantages and disadvantages different in Future Extended than they are in Standard, where mono-color decks are rarely seen? Find those answers and more inside, as I break down what makes a mono-color deck tick!
