Decided to make the switch from goblins to post. It worked out well, but i was very lucky to win the tournament. In round 1 i had to sweat a 3 outer for 3 turns before capsize glimmerpost started to stabalize. In the quarter finals i had to sweat my infect opponent drawing any pump spell...he missed...Semi-finals i natural drew the seismic shudder twice against storm. in the finals i beat the mirror by drawing better in the sideboard games.

I think the deck is very good and wins most of the games it doesn't mull to 5 or get mana screwed (it gets screwed A LOT).

I decided to play a list without the teachings because they are very bad against goblins, infect, and other random creature decks. And it is good against the mirror and possibly against storm, but i dont think it makes that much difference. if you want to play teachings i would consider deep analysis. Alalysis is real nice against mono blue because they can't really counter it profitably. I also like it against the mirror and wanted to find room for 1.

I have a 7 mountain and 7 island to at least try to have turn 1 flameslash against infect and goblins and a 25th land over expedition map because every time i draw map i hate the card so much. It would be a nice card if it could somehow search up a compulsive research in addition to just land. in the early game i dont like having to pay 3 mana to find a land and in the late game i dont want to draw a land. i think another draw spell may be preferable to the map/25th land.

Also why does everyone always put counterspell in this deck? You only have 8 islands max and 4 prisms max but i see people playing multiple counterspells. Why not just play prohibit. You are almost never countering something on turn 2 with counterspell, while prohibit good on turn 2 while still being live against most cards in the late game.

The other thing that blows my mind is how everyone seems to keep umalogs crusher in against decks like mono blue or goblins. The card is a complete mulligan until you can cast it to win more. Do you ever need crusher to finish off goblins. do you really need crusher if you can succesfully resolve an 8 drop against mono blue? Mulldrifter/serrated arrows "ultimatum" is usually more than enough to mop things up.

Obviously there are a lot of different ways to build post and play it. Post decks are tricky because i would be supprised if my list was within 5 cards of being correct and nobody's lists seem to agree, but thats part of what makes the deck interesting.

If i were looking to build a post deck i would make the following suggestions: for removal have a shudder main deck and probably at least one lightning bolt and 4 flameslash. i would stay away from electrostatic bolt...i dont see how it is better than bolt.
Play 4 prisms
play at least 3 arrows for tpdc metagame
play at least 24 lands
avoid playing 61 cards (while intrinsically being somewhat bad you can be reasonably sure that the opponent is on post if they play 61 cards)
make sure to play a healthy amount of land destruction...its important to the mirror as well as storm especially the depletion/sac lands variant which you will struggle to beat a competant opponent with only miser cards(hindering touch/shudder)
play an ancient grudge in the board...the card is nice for mono white and i like it as a possible card for the mirror.
