| M1 L 0-2
Against Yantos, Rb Aggro; Both games 1 and 2 I didn't have any play against his blood ogres. Those finished me pretty quickly. M2 W 2-0 Against MadTricks, MUC; Game 1 I make my plan work with Elves, game 2 it comes down to a counter war, but I got more luck. M3 L 0-2 Against Thusane, UB Control. The first game was very close, getting bad mana in the beginning and untamed might just one turn late.. everything else would have been good too a turn earlier. The second game I played prey upon on my 5/5er and his Spire Drake, and then attacked into Aether Adept... Losing my mighty elf. Epic misplay. After that I could not recover and didn't get my strong position back. So I lost. Deservedly... :( I start to question the power level of this deck. In Testing it was great, but somehow I seem to always have had luck, when I got into the slow draws back then.. M4 L 0-2 against Thetmes, G/W Beasts G1 I don't get my green mana (I really don't know, if it is the deck, but I got color screwed 4 times this evening..) and lose. G2 I get it, but he has a fast opener and I can't recover (although I tried this time, and the perfect topdeck could have saved something of the game). M5 W: Opponent didn't show up. Fits the pattern :/ All in all: Hexproof is not my thing. By adding the third color (white, of course), you could probably raise the power of the deck (perhaps even consitency - whatever that might be), but you pay by getting a worse mana base. Doesn't have to be bad, but I don't feel like it is worth the efford. |
