Alt PDC 1.09 and 1.10, the formats, the decks, the winners

The Block Wars deck Djinn used was more or less a standered Orzhov build so I won't go into it in much detail What was more interesting to me was Kingritz's second place deck Mirage block MBC http://www.pdcmagic.com/gatherling/deck.php?mode=view&id=1955. At first blush this deck looks awful. However, it beat affinty twice and two other decks that wern't submitted into gathererling *cough* *cough*. Why did the deck win any games? Because crypt rats is totally nuts against creature decks and drain life is no slouch either. Futhermore Kingritz's creatures can quickly put control on a clock and his removel will slow down aggro decks. This is a deck to watch for in Alt PDC worlds as is Orzhov.

White Djinn's Alt PDC 1.10 win is very impressive since his pool is fairly mediocre aside from one sprout spore. From this we can conclude that A: white Djinn is very good and B: so is spore sprout. Djinn also said Citanul Woodreaders was strong. "Sprout Swarm is of course the mvp of the deck, tough there's no doubt Citanul Woodreaders did a heck of a job."

Everybody should, of course, vote for prismatic because of its interesting play and varying decks. However if for some reason you have the bad taste not to vote for prismatic I will give you a round up of what all the formats are.
Core Set Constructed: build a deck with 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th.

Duplicate Sealed with Pool 1 or 2: Duplicate Sealed is where everybody has to build a deck from the same pool of cards. the lists are here: http://www.pdcmagic.com/forums/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=892.
PPS: singleton and prismatic restrictions apply
2HG: two headed giant you share your life total with another head of your two person team.
Tribal Wars Standard and Tribal Classic: you must include at least 20 creatures of one creature type in these two formats.
Prismatic: you have to have a 250 card deck with at least 20 cards of each color.
Rainbow Stairwell: you have to have spells of converted mana costs 1-6 of each color and artifacts along with 4 of all basic lands and 4 distinct nonbasic lands of your choice.
Sealed Deck (Fut Ext): like alt pdc 1.10 but with a fut ext card pool.
